DAY 1: WELCOME TO PERU – LIMA.
Pick up from Airport – Hotel, Overnight in Lima.
DAY 2: Excursion LIMA CITY TOUR.
After breakfast 9am. We will enjoy a tour knowing Lima in its three stages: Ancestral, Colonial and Modern Lima. We will start the tour with a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid”, ancient ceremonial and archaeological centre built in the 4th century A.D. and considered Sacred Town of the Incas. Then we will go to the Historic Centre of Lima. Where we will appreciate what was the old square Lima and we will appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings among which are the Paseo de la Republica, the Plaza San Martin, the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, among others. Continuing the tour we will visit the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank where we will appreciate the Collection of Treasures of Peru in which we will find objects of ceramics, gold and textiles of diverse pre-Columbian cultures. We will also find the Monumental Complex of San Francisco that constitutes the biggest sample of colonial religious art of America. Its main attraction is the visit to its underground crypts known as the Catacombs. Finally we will go to the Contemporary Zone of Lima where we will appreciate the main buildings and residential areas of Lima, El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores, Larcomar and the Parque del Amor. DAY 3: PARACAS – BALLESTAS ISLANDS – HUACACHINA – 5am.
Departure to the Paracas beach resort (04 hours approximately) by tourist transport from the chosen meeting point. 9:30 A.M. Arrival in Paracas to go to the pier, from where you will depart to the islands in modern boats where you will enjoy a wonderful excursion to the Ballestas Islands. We will enjoy this marvel of nature and marine wildlife such as: Sea Lions, Humboldt Penguins, Flamingos, Parihuanas and various sea birds. We will also observe the Candelabra where the guide will tell us the different hypotheses about its formation. Those who choose to stay will be able to enjoy the sun and the sea breeze in this beautiful seaside resort where you will find good restaurants with delicious dishes. P.M. Lunch Departure to the city of Ica City tour in Ica, we will visit the Campiñas Artesanal Nietto. Here we will be able to learn the whole process of how Pisco is made, guided by an experienced worker of the winery. After visiting the winery facilities, visitors will be invited to taste the different types of wines. We will visit the oasis of Huacachina, which is located only 5 km from the centre of the city of Ica. In this beautiful lagoon visitors will be able to enjoy the tranquility of the place and walk around in search of good pictures. The huge dunes surrounding the lagoon allow visitors to practice one of the most fascinating sports in the area such as tubing and sand boarding, popularly called Sandboarding. P.M. DAY 4: WELCOME TO THE CITY OF CUSCO:
After breakfast transfer to the airport hotel and travel to Cusco city. Welcome, transfer airport – hotel and coca tea to counteract the altitude sickness and in the afternoon you have: CITY TOUR 1pm. -6:00pm: EXCURSION CITY TOUR: which includes the visit of the Plaza de Armas, the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha, also visit the 04 ruins surrounding the city: The Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Puca Pucara, finally “The Baths of the Inca” Tambomachay.
DAY 5: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INKAS + MORAY SALINERAS:
This tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas (Vip), Starts at 7:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco 10 to 15 minutes before the start of the tour, We will start visiting the picturesque little town of Chinchero, known as the city of the rainbow, to know the Church of Our Lady of Monserrat built in 1607 On the palace of Tupac Yupanqui, we will also see andenería and its artisan market. We will continue our tour visiting the village of Maras and the agricultural experimentation terraces of Moray. It is believed that in this fascinating area, the Incas created their own micro-climate to adapt plants, flowers, and many other products from different parts of the Inca empire. After this we will make a visit to the salt mines “salineras” located just below Maras. These mines are still working and the peasants work in them during the day. Upon completion and return to our private transport, we will then head to the town of Urubamba where we will enjoy a buffet lunch that will allow you to enjoy the delicious Peruvian gastronomy, In the afternoon we will visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress which was a strategic military, agricultural and religious centre to administer and control the Sacred Valley of the Incas; This is deduced by the constructions that are presumed to have been for agricultural deposits and for military use as walls and watchtowers (probably to protect against the jungle ethnic groups). This archaeological site comprises a series of superimposed terraces, showing the impressive and large blocks of finely carved stone located on the upper terrace and as a last point we will visit the city of Pisac, this impressive place will give you an idea of the advanced knowledge that the Incas achieved in architecture. As in other Inca constructions, some studies reveal that it was not a fortress, but a kind of “royal hacienda”, property of the Inca Pachacutec, composed of terraces, domestic and ceremonial structures and aqueducts that provided water for agricultural exploitation. Another good reason to visit Pisac is its handicraft market, where you can find some unique and authentic souvenirs, finally we will return to the city of Cusco. 6:30pm.
DAY 6: FULL DAY MACHUPICCHU.
In the morning 4.00 am pick up from the hotel to the train station 3 hours and a half trip arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes our guide will be waiting for us and then we will take the bus to the sanctuary of Machupicchu, then we will have the guided tour of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and photos of the wonder at the indicated time to go down to the town of Aguas Calientes where you can have lunch and finally take the train back 2:40 pm (Aguas Calientes-Ollantaytambo where our private mobile awaits us to return to the city of Cusco).
DAY 7: MOUNTAIN OF COLOURS, WINICUNCA:
Our staff will come to pick you up at 5:30 am to your respective hotel, we will board our private transport and then head to the village of Pitumarca, during the trip we will pass through different villages and enjoy the incredible views of the Peruvian Andes, the trip is approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival we will make a stop to enjoy a delicious breakfast and stock up on some things necessary to start the tour. After this short stop, we will continue our trip where we will observe the landscapes, the mysterious mountains and the deep valleys. We will arrive at the village of Chillca at 3700 m.a.s.l. From here we will start hiking uphill for 3 hours until we reach the Rainbow Mountain. Arriving at the top of the mountain at 5100 m.a.s.l., you will be able to enjoy breathtaking views of the Andes and the Andean fauna, all the mountains surrounding this area are red and there are impressive views of the valleys and the mysterious 7 coloured mountain (Rainbow Mountain), where we will have enough time to take pictures and videos. After the great experience we will start the return hike, which will last 2 hours, then we will enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch you can visit some of the local family houses, where you can see the lifestyle of these people who still practice the ancient traditions of the Incas. Afterwards we will return to Cusco, we will be arriving to the city at approximately 4:00 PM and then we will be dropped off at your respective hotels.
DAY 8: TRANSFER HOTEL – AIRPORT Lima.
