The archaeological complex of Huchuy Qosqo Peru is of great importance for the ancient Inca empire that is located at 3400 m.a.s.l. From this point we will have a beautiful panoramic view to another side of the sacred valley of the Incas, from the top of this mountain we will appreciate the incomparable beauty of the snowy Chicon and Pitusiray, at the bottom of this panorama we can appreciate the town of Calca. The chroniclers indicate that it was the God Wiracocha who had founded the archaeological complex of Huchuy Qosqo on the foundations that were already built previously. According to the chronicler Pedro Cieza de Leon indicates that the first Inca Manco Capac had arrived to the Sacred Valley, where he observed the whole area occupied by different nations and later all these nations were defeated by Manco Capac and incorporated to the Inca Empire. One of these nations was settled on Huch’uy Qosqo Peru, where there are enclosures, Inca buildings that make up the architectural monument of Huchuy Qosqo Peru.
The departure from Cusco is at 09:00 a.m, we will travel by car 20 minutes to the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman, there we’ll begin our journey on horseback ride of three hours towards the Yanacocha Lake (3,800 masl or 12,543 ft.) where we will have lunch, in the afternoon, we will continue to Huchuy Qosqo two hours on horseback (Inca archaeological site), arriving at approximately 05:00 p.m.
Camping night.
After breakfast, we’ll visit the archaeological complex of Huchuy Qosqo, and then continue our ride for approximately 4 hours to Chinchero (Inca archaeological site), on the way, we’re gonna visit Piuray Lagoon, we’ll also have beautiful views of the Sacred Valley and the snow-capped mountains of Chicon and Veronica.
Finishing the tour in Chinchero, we’ll return to Cusco by car, arriving at 05:00 pm. approximately
